Welcome to Andrews Art

Hi! I’m Alondra Oropeza Andrews. I was born in California but grew up in a small town in Los Altos de Jalisco, Mexico. To me, Mexico is a place full of traditions, colors, memories, and emotions — from the street I used to walk to school, to the fruit shop on the corner of my house.

Long before I ever started painting, I already understood that life expresses itself through color, through feelings, through moments that can’t always be put into words.

When I start a painting, I don’t have a plan. I just let myself be guided by the music, by the moment. Each piece comes from a specific moment, with no rules and no fear — just trust in the process and in what I feel. That’s why every painting is unique: because no moment ever happens the same way twice. My paintings don’t repeat, because life doesn’t repeat.

For me, painting is freedom of expression. It’s a way to connect with myself and transform a blank canvas into something unique. I’m not trying to paint something perfect — I want to create something real. Every brushstroke carries a piece of my energy, of who I am in that exact second.

I’d love for you to look at my art and interpret it in your own way. Because beyond what I see and describe, you might feel something completely different. That’s what I love most about abstract art — each painting tells a different story, shaped by the emotions of whoever is looking at it.
